Day 1 of Supreme Court hearing on section 377
- The Supreme Court on monday said that it focus closely on the question whether section 377 of the Indian constitution which makes gay sex an offence should be decriminalized
- Choice of partner is a fundamental right and it can be same-sex partner, Justice D.Y. Chandrachud said on Tuesday
- During day one hearing, the bench said it only needed to get out of the "mess" created by Suresh Kumar Koushal case
- Chief Justice Deepak Mishra said the test was weather Section 377 stood in conformity with Article 21(right to life) and 14(right to equality) of the constitution
- The two countries signed a joint agreement on Early Harvest Package of the upgraded Comprehensive Economic Partnership
- MoU signed for the formation of a Future Strategy group for cooperation in development of cutting edge technologies
- A cultural exchange program was signed for the period 2018-2022 to deepen cultural and people to people relations
- India and South Korea have increased the target for bilateral trade to $50 billion in the next 12 years, even as they tried to add some strategic heft to their relationship with statements of support for de-nuclearisation talks with North Korea and joint projects in third countries

Award extra marks to Tamil candidates in NEET : HC
- The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday directed the CBSE to publish within two weeks a revised list of candidates who have qualified in the NEET this year after awarding 4 marks for each of the 49 erroneously translated questions in the Tamil version of the paper
- Tech4all, a non-government organisation, had made a comprehensive study of the question paper and pointed out the errors in the Tamil version
